Station Gala and Model Rail Show 23 August 2008
August Bank Holiday Weekend saw the first Model Railway Show, organized by B.A.R.M.A.T.E.S. to be held at Bridlington Railway Station in the 'Old Parcels Office' and the 4th August Station Gala.
The events were kindly sponsored by Northern Rail and The Yorkshire Coast Community Rail Partnership, without whose support the events couldn't take place.
Both local and National Charities benefited from the event including the 'Railway Children', RSPCA and 'Teenager Cancer Trust'
Entertainment was supplied by Shadows Music a local band from Scarborough that as the name suggests plays music by the Shadows.

Local Police Community Support Officers had a stand giving out
Crime Prevention leaflets and information along with equipment
demonstrations.
