Disaster at Bridlington 27th May 1958
62703 Hertfordshire 'fell' into the turntable pit at Bridlington shed on the 27th May 1958 and this view shows the recovery taking place. After recovery it was sent to Darlington, which was the end of the road for it, because D49 class were by then on the withdrawal programme.
Class D49 62703 Hertfordshire gets recovered .
