Mind Bending Pound

Three men decided to book a caravan for the weekend, so they went to the campsite office and asked how much to hire a caravan for the weekend.

£30 said the Manager so each man paid £10, and went to the caravan, the manager realising he had charged them to much and that it should have only been £25, sent his assistant to give them £5 back.

On the way to the caravan the assistant couldn't work out how to split the £5 between the 3 men so he gave them a £1 each and kept £2 for himself.

This means the 3 men paid £9 each which means they paid a total of £27 for the caravan.

If they paid £27 and the assistant only kept £2 where is the other £!?
